This article discusses the difficulties of cultivating a rice crop. Rice plants need very intense and delicate care. The field has to be well cleared of all types of foreign plants and weeds. The plants have to be protected from insects and pests. Once the rice plant is mature and ready to be cut, more care is involved in cutting only the plants that can be extracted for rice. If plants are cut in excess, they must be stored properly, and sent to the market while fresh.
